This memorandum is the announcement of the nomination phase for those wishing to run for the position of Commander, STARFLEET (CS). The nomination period runs from June 1, 2025, thru June 30, 2025. The person elected to the Commander, STARFLEET will serve a term from January 1, 2026, thru December 31, 2028. To become a candidate in the next phase nominees must receive at least 10 nominations from chapter commanding officers and/or Regional Coordinators.
Those wishing to run for Commander, STARLFEET must be members in good standing for a period of not less than three consecutive years’ time-in-service by the time they assume office on January 1, 2026. Those wishing to serve in this position must be at least 25 years of age, bondable, and have Officer Training School (OTS) and Officer Command Course (OCC) along with the appropriate STARFLEET Data Protection Program (SFDPP) Courses. If you have not previously had SFDPP then you will need to get SFDPP certified upon your notification of becoming a candidate following the nomination process. You will also need to submit a background check and financial check before officially becoming a candidate.
The only persons eligible to nominate members are Regional Coordinators (RC) or Chapter Commanding Officers (CO) of fully active chapters. COs who are commanding chapters in drydock status or chapters in training status are not eligible to nominate. If an RC is nominating someone and they are also a CO, they must stipulate the capacity in which they are nominating. A person submitting a nomination can only nominate one individual.

When sending in a nomination you may fill out the accompanying form or submit the following information:
– Name and SCC# of person being nominated
– Region of nominee
– Chapter of nominee
– Name and SCC# of nominating RC or Chapter CO
– Region of nominating individual
– Chapter of nominating individual
– Capacity of nominating individual: RC or CO

Greetings from the Office of the Inspector General. We are working on getting our webpage up and running and will let you know once it is fully operational. Also, in the next month or so I will be putting out some YouTube videos on various topics related to the Inspector General such as the process for Regional Coordinator elections and submitting complaint request procedures. Regarding Regional Coordinator elections, both Regions 2 and 3 had special elections. Commodore Lee Johnson became the RC for Region 2 and Major General Jeremy Carsten went back into his old job as RC for R3. Congrats to the winners. Regions 1 and 8 are currently in their RC election cycles. There is only one active investigation at this time and it is in the evidence gathering phase and should be completed within the next thirty days or so.
